Embedding Video Links

Linking vs. Embedding Persistent vs. Durable Links

Embedding: Using code to embed a video is a visually attractive way to access video content. However this is not offered by all the streaming services and in some cases the code will not work.

Linking: A simple and preferable way to link to videos.

Different Databases offer different ways the materials can be shared. In general however you will be looking for a "durable" or a "persistent" link.

Persistent links provide an advantage over the standard copy-and-paste web browser address bar links because they are stable or "persistent" over time. Web browser address links are often search-session-specific and become non-functional in a short period of time.
