Does your home-building training course need an all-purpose visual aid for jobsite safety orientation? This video illustrates the key issues residential builders and workers need to focus on in order to reduce accidents and injuries. Based on the NAHB-OSHA Jobsite Safety Handbook, the program conveys a wide range of safety information in easy-to-understand demonstrations. Topics include the use of personal protective gear, such as hardhats, gloves, and steel-toed shoes, as well as scaffolding, ladders, stairways, vehicles, mobile machinery, and other equipment. Site organization, lifting safety, electrical safety, trenching, excavation, fire prevention, basic fall protection, and hazard signage and communication are also covered. Correlates to all National CTE Organizational Standards (including the provisions of the Perkins Act).
