As technology continues to advance rapidly, students are increasingly incorporating Generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Co-Pilot into their academic work. While these tools offer exciting possibilities for enhancing efficiency, it’s important for students to fully understand their implications for education and academic integrity.

Our mission is to guide students through the benefits and potential pitfalls of using Generative AI. To ensure these tools are used responsibly and ethically, we offer the following resources and guidelines:

Guidelines for Using Generative AI:

  • Consult Your Instructor: Before integrating Generative AI into coursework, students should first check with their instructor to learn about any specific guidelines or restrictions.

  • Cite Properly: If the use of Generative AI is permitted, students must ensure that they cite it correctly in their assignments, following the citation style required by their discipline or as directed by their instructor.

Library Resources to Support Your Learning:

  • Workshops: To gain a thorough understanding of Generative AI, students are encouraged to participate in workshops available both online and in-person at the Ottawa Campus. These workshops include:

  • One-on-One Support: Personalized assistance is also available through:

Our resources are designed to help learners navigate this evolving landscape effectively, embracing the potential of Generative AI while staying informed and upholding ethical standards.
