The maker movement gives people and communities an opportunity to use their creativity and imagination to create or tinker in many formats, media and types of technology. Learning from and inspiring others around them.

Imagination has no boundaries

A Makerspace is a collaborative area where people can come together to imagine, invent and learn from each other. Each space has its own flavour. Some are based on electronics, others on textile media, digital storytelling, woodworking or combinations of these types as well as many others. A Makerspace may have a defined membership or be open to the public or offer times for both. Some Makerspaces will take part in Maker faires or publish their projects on the web or through magazines such as Maker.
