Regardless of whether your volunteer experience is in your field or not, employers appreciate when people are involved in or give back to the community. Consider adding in any volunteer work you have completed. If possible, when describing what you did, try to include the details, tasks and accomplishments most related to the type of role you are trying to get into. Some of these transferrable tasks could be things like collaborating on a team, managing your time well to meet deadlines or demonstrating leadership.
